We’ve always advocated that good contracts are a reliable way for farmers to manage their financial risks. This article caught our eye because the profiled dairy is using contracts to sell their output directly to one huge buyer, Dannon Yogurt. The farm is making its own price on its products, circumventing the random fluctuations of the commodity market. Pretty brilliant.
